A blend of boiled linseed oil and pine tar in a traditional recipe offers the best of both. The light tar oil gives a golden honey look to the wood and enhances UV protection. It provides excellent moisture and rot resistance for long-lasting durability.
Consumption:5-8 m2/l on unplaned wood, 8-12 m2/l on planed wood, 30-36 m2/l on hardwood, depending on the surface’s absorbency.
Instructions for use:
Shake and stir the container well before use and during the staining process.
Apply the stain as evenly and thinly as possible on a clean, dry and planed surface. Unlike stain, tar oil does not need to be wiped off.
After 6-7 days, when the oil has dried thoroughly, you may optionally apply a second coat spreading the oil evenly across the surface.
*Before applying a second coat, make sure the first coat has fully dried.
During the resurfacing process, sanding is not required. Typically, one layer is sufficient for surface renewal.
